Leader Dogs for the Blind programs enhance the lives of people who are blind, visually impaired and Deaf-blind. All programs are offered free-of-charge to the recipient, including travel expenses within North America, room and board and most equipment costs. The cost of the training of these magnificent creatures and their student, a process that takes years of raising these special puppies and then training them with their partner is now close to $40,000.00. That’s a lot of $1, $2 and $5 donations!!! Lions help finance the program through fundraising and awareness.
